I am excited to seek a leadership position supporting elementary education. With 25 years of experience in education, I have dedicated my career to creating meaningful learning experiences for students while supporting and empowering fellow educators. My passion for servant leadership and a coaching mindset drives me to foster an environment where both students and teachers can thrive. At my core, I believe that all kids can learn, and I am committed to ensuring that every child has the support and guidance they need to reach their full potential.
As a fourth-grade teacher and team lead at American Leadership Academy, I have worked closely with colleagues to develop curriculum plans that align with state standards while maintaining a warm and engaging learning environment. I take pride in mentoring fellow teachers, leading professional development initiatives, and collaborating on school-wide strategies that enhance student success. My approach to leadership is rooted in service, always seeking ways to uplift and support those around me.
I am currently pursuing a Master of Education in Educational Administration, which will be finished this August, further equipping myself with the skills needed to lead effectively. I will then receive my Principal Certificate. My recent initiatives in addressing chronic absenteeism, collaborating with the gifted department, and contributing to the school safety committee reflect my dedication to the well-being of both students and staff. Additionally, I am eager to improve onboarding processes for new staff, ensuring they feel welcomed, supported, and set up for success from day one.
I would love the opportunity to bring my experience, leadership, and heart for education to your school. Thank you for taking the time to review my application. I look forward to the possibility of joining your team and would be grateful for the chance to discuss how I can contribute to your school’s mission.
Sincerely,
Dana DeVandry
